The Young eager to win Daytime Emmy Awards
The Young and the Restless leads CBS’s nominations for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards. The show grabbed 17 nominations from the network’s total of 56, including the category best daytime drama. PBS landed a second spot with 50 nominations, and ABC, who will be airing the event, reached the third place with 39 nominations. The 35th annual ceremony is due June 20 and it will take place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. “It’s still sinking in a little bit. This is the first time for me that something like this has happened, so I feel honored and it’s great to be a part of such a great cast and know that so many of us have been nominated. It just feels great. It’s amazing. I feel euphoric today,” a thrilled Emily O’Brien commented on her Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series.
We hope the Young doesn’t get so Restless to lose the biggest prize, we wish them the best luck!
