Gossip Girl’s controversial ad campaign

Let’s say it was obvious that Gossip Girl’s “OMFG” ad campaign would bring the uproar from the so-sensitive Parents Television Council. The watchdog members have been busy lately raising its voice against other shows, including Dexter, America’s Next Top Model and Las Vegas. CW’s campaign features a sexy couple’s kiss with the title “OMFG,” what for PTC means a “sexually suggestive photo showing a teenage boy kissing a girl’s cleavage.”

Do you guys think CW’s ad is showing teens something new? Or the PTC doesn’t have something better to do than complain to a well-designed marketing strategy?
