Slumdog Millionaire rocks at the Oscars
The much-awaited night finally arrived, and yesterday, Feb. 22, where revealed the winners of the 2009 Academy Awards. Slumdog Millionaire was the greatest winner of the evening with eight awards, including the Best Picture of the Year. Sean Penn was honoured with the Actor in a Leading Role award for Milk and British star Kate Winslet took home Best Lead Actress award. Meanwhile, Penelope Cruz became the first Spanish actress to win an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress while late actor Heath Ledger was prized with Actor in a Supporting Role for the Dark Knight. Danny Boyle won the director category for Slumdog Millionaire.

Picking up an Oscar is such an unique experience that can make some forget the lines, if not, checked what a thrilled Penelope said about Italian myth Sophia Loren, “She’s become like my second mom.”She’s a woman with a gold of heart. Wait, what did I say? A woman with a heart of gold!”
