Miley Cyrus sued for slanted-eye pic
We all know Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is a big target of the press, and she makes headlines for nearly anything. Now, a woman from the Asian community has filed a lawsuit against the 16-year-old for a picture in which Miley and her friends appear with her eyes slanted. The suit, headed by Lucie J. Kim, stated that the Disney queen “knew or should have known that her image would be publicly disseminated via the media, which Cyrus knew focused on her private life, specifically TMZ.” She also asked for $4,000 in damages for her and her other co-plaintiffs. However, they can’t go any further as Cyrus’ attorneys claim that there’s nothing in the lawsuit that entitles her to “redress for racial insults.” Miley made a public apologize and said, “I really wanted to stress how sorry I am if the photo of me with my friends offended anyone.” The final hearing is scheduled for June 4th.
Do you think Miley should prevent herself for goofing with her pals? I personally think these kinds of demands have gone way too far. People just want to make money for everything. It was a private pic, she’s playing and she’s no responsible for the leak.
